Join Greg’s Japanese Auto and Vine Maple Place in Helping Homeless Families this Holiday Season
The Greg’s Japanese Auto family is excited to announce that we’ll be celebrating the season of giving by partnering with Vine Maple Place, a charitable organization that provides support to single parents and their children who are facing homelessness. As part of the Puget Sound community, it’s always been important to our team that we give back to those in need – especially during the holiday months. This year, we’re excited to provide the opportunity for our customers to join us in making a difference in the lives of families right here in the Puget Sound. Together, we can ensure that these families have everything they need to not only enjoy the peace and joy of the season but also be ready to begin 2019 on a hopeful note.
Vine Maple Place: A Place for Families in Need
Vine Maple Place is a Washington organization that works diligently to support single parents and their children who are dealing with homelessness, helping to provide the resources and information necessary to get them back on their feet. Ultimately, one of the core values of Vine Maple Place is that every child and parent deserves a safe, stable place to call home where they can truly thrive. Whether it’s counseling, professional training, or employment resources, the organization also provides its families with the support and guidance needed to create a happy life of their own.
Nearly 100 families every month reach out to Vine Maple Place for help in saving children from dangerous or unhealthy living situations, and the organization is currently able to bring in about 30 families monthly. The support provided by the community makes it possible for Vine Maple Place to continue their work and help more families every year.
How You Can Help Homeless Families this Holiday Season
Greg’s Japanese Auto locations throughout the Puget Sound will each be leading drives to collect household and personal care items for the families of Vine Maple Place. The following are examples of items that you can donate to help a homeless family in your community:
- Toilet paper
- Paper towels
- Full-size shampoo and conditioner
- Feminine care products
- Toothpaste and toothbrushes
- Deodorant
- Liquid laundry detergent
Even a few items can help, or you can buy a grocery or gas gift card at our holiday drives (Fred Meyer, Safeway, and Chevron) to help the families purchase important everyday supplies like food and fuel.
