Greg’s Japanese Auto stands proud when talking about the first location they opened. On April 1st 1987 the Renton store was born and measured out at a mere 1,200 square feet. The first hands on deck were Greg, his brother David and their life long friend and number one technician Leonard Gidley. Alaska brought Greg and David here to pursue a dream of opening their fist automotive business in the State of Washington. As business grew for the Renton store so did the need for space. Sadly, Greg’s acquired additional space from other businesses closing their doors around them. Growth continued for the Renton store and in 1999 they packed their bags and moved right across the parking lot to the most prime real estate in the mall. Even after 19 years in that very same location Greg’s Japanese Auto continues to grow and grow. In September of 2006 the store broke an all time high sales record and were calculated at #2 in the nation for customer service in the automotive industry.
